Andrew Larrabee has over 13 years experience in the music industry across a number of fields including engineering, technical high-end studio installations, hardware and software creation, and most recently music publishing.

Getting his start in Los Angeles after graduating from USC's Thornton School of Music, Andrew went on to work in high-end recording studios, including time at Conway Recording Studios and Jim Henson Studios. As a technician, he worked at the private recording studio for Robbie Krieger of The Doors.

After ditching LA for New York, and later the UK, Andrew has worked for commercial hardware and software companies in the music production industry. Notably, Andrew worked at Spitfire Audio as part of the product team, helping to bring to market over 35 virtual instruments. These featured collaborations with AIR Studios, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Hans Zimmer, and other artists.

Having relocated to Liverpool 5 Years ago, Andrew is now Head of Product at Sentric, the publishing branch to Believe Music (one of the largest EU music distributors), in addition to mastering engineer at Howling House.

ANDREW LARRABEE

Lola de la Mata is the resident conceptual sound artist, composer and musician (theremin/violin/voice/self-made instruments)

In 2024 Lola won an Oram Award and a Sound of the Year Award for her experimental debut album ‘Oceans on Azimuth’ released to much acclaim (The Quietus, Electronic Sound Magazine, New Scientist, BBC Radio 6, Crack Magazine), with broadcast on BBC 3, BBC 6, NTS and Resonance FM

Embracing hearing difference, aural diversity sits at the core of her multi-faceted sonic and performance art. practice which spans installation, community projects and electroacoustic composition. She harnesses improvisation to retune her embodied listening which began with her two first loves - weaving and printmaking. While her interest in visual music, graphic scores and notation, was born out of the study of Labanotation and collaborations with dancers.

She has received commissions from the Riot Ensemble, Lisson Gallery, Nonclassical, Zubin Kanga, Spitalfields Music Festival, and crafted soundtracks for experimental film, documentary and the award winning feature film STOPMOTION (2024) by Robert Morgan.
